Meeting with representatives of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia-Turkey - MATTO

MATTOThe President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, met today with representatives of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia and Turkey - MATTO, led by its Chairman, Mr.Tuna Eyup Kahveci.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the benefits of the Turkish companies investing in the Republic of Macedonia, on the opportunity for joint operations of Macedonian and Turkish companies in third markets, and on the strengthening of the economic cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Turkey through specific investment and increased trade exchange.

President Ivanov welcomed the efforts to strengthen the business ties between the two countries, as well as the success so far realized in investment and economic cooperation, adding that it is all in the interest of promoting the cooperation between the two friendly countries. In this context, President Ivanov reaffirmed his commitment to further support and encourage future MATTO activities in the Republic of Macedonia.

Congratulating them the religious holiday of Ramadan, President Ivanov said that he highly appreciates the contribution of all ethnic communities in our cultural and social progress, hoping that the members of the Turkish community in the Republic of Macedonia will continue to cherish the Turkish tradition in the future and contribute with its rich culture to a prosperous future and well-being of all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia.

Mr. Tuna Eyup Kahveci and the MATTO representatives, thanked for the meeting with President Ivanov, expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to present the implemented and the current activities and the plans for the future, noting that they especially appreciate the continued support and personal commitment of President Ivanov for their successful implementation. As noted by the MATTO leadership, the meeting with President Ivanov is also a proof of the friendship between the two countries, as well as a confirmation of the readiness of the institutions in the Republic of Macedonia for further cooperation with the Chamber.

The Economic Chamber of Macedonia-Turkey - MATTO, is founded in 2008 and counts 88 member companies from the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Turkey. One of the main goals of the Chamber is to efficiently manage the market conditions, successfully include the Macedonian and Turkish market and encourage the development of entrepreneurship among its members, in order to improve the results of the operations and organization of the members of this Chamber.
