The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, last night had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, and expressed condolences for the lives lost and victims in the storm and floods that have hit the Republic of Serbia.

At the same time, the Macedonian President said that the Republic of Macedonia is ready to offer assistance and make available its available resources to deal with the aftermath of the storm.

Both collocutors agreed that it is necessary to strengthen regional cooperation and apply coordinated action in dealing with the increasing natural disasters and catastrophes to prevent and mitigate their consequences.
