The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, received today the representatives of the Macedonian karate team, ahead of their participation in the European karate Championships for juniors and cadets, which will take place in Portugal, from 7 to 9 February.

At the meeting, President Ivanov wished them success and adequate representation of our country. Noting the successes achieved by the karate team in the past years and the medals won at the Balkan, Mediterranean, European and World Championships, President Ivanov wished them this to be an additional incentive for achieving highest results at the upcoming European Championship in Portugal.

Young karate team members expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet President Ivanov, saying that it is an honor for them to have a meeting with President Ivanov on the eve of their departure for Portugal.

During the meeting, the representatives of the Macedonian Karate Federation bestowed President Ivanov with an award for outstanding contribution to the development of karate.
