03Make use of every new experience and knowledge you were taught of at this school, transfer it and expand your innovation and kindness. Feel free to dream, imagine and strive toward sublime things. That is the goal of this School and the philosophy deriving from these years of independent Macedonia - to build Macedonia in height, with the highest standards, criteria and the highest principles, the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, said before the participants of the 4th School for Young Leaders, which was held from 19 to 31 of August in Ohrid, under his auspices.

At the certificate awarding ceremony, Ivanov told the young leaders that their presence in Ohrid is not by chance, but it is their personal merit, a reward for what they have achieved in their education, in their communication.

"Nurture all the knowledge, skills, know-how you have obtained with a feeling of gratitude. May that feeling guide you a lifetime, because what we give we forget, but it is remembered by those who receive it and that is why you should remember it too. In your life, you will learn many things you would be grateful for", President Ivanov said.

He asked the young leaders to be patient because, as he said, everything in life has its own order.

01Do not be impatient, have patience to experience the merit of your personal efforts and your mind. Do not rush, everything in life has its own order, follow the order and everything in life will come true. You will see in your life that what you have learned has its value", President Ivanov said.

He advised the young leaders that wisdom are not only for quoting but for applying. Every wisdom is left by our ancestors so that we can benefit from it. Not by quoting it but by applying it.

"Hence, the experience you are taught of, are transferred to you to be further transmitted, expanded, applied", President Ivanov said.

During the School for Young Leaders, in the past two weeks, top lecturers, renowned public personalities, prominent individuals and successful leaders in companies and educational institutions from Macedonia, Spain, New Zealand, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel... shared their knowledge with the participants. Among them were Mr. Donald Dave Meredith, Canadian Senator, Mr. Tafsir M. Awal, Director of Multimode Group from Bangladesh, Mr. Alexandre Sevigny, Director of post-graduate studies in communication management at McMaster-Syracuse and McMaster University in Canada, Mr. Boris Porkovich, Vice President of the Research Institute for European small states of Monaco, Mr. Donald Steel, Director of the British company Johnson Associates and former chief media spokesman at BBC, Mr. Dragan Stefanovic, retired US Army officer and professor at the Master of Public Administration program in the Appalachian State University in North Carolina.

The School for Young Leaders has been established to stimulate positive values among young leaders and future political, cultural and economic leaders of our country, and to develop their capacity to cope with the challenges of global technology, international competition and cultural and religious diversity.

President Ivanov first initiated this idea in his election program, with a vision to enable young, talented and ambitious people from Macedonia to upgrade and improve their skills, to develop their creativity and managerial skills.

The School is active throughout the year through the Alumni Association, waiting for the next generation of young leaders of the 5th School for Young Leaders.
