Opening of the first Public Office

In the center of Skopje, the first Public Office of the President of the Republic of Macedonia was opened, aiming to provide continuous and pre-scheduled dynamic of his meetings with the citizens, but, also, to enable them to submit petitions and appeals regarding problems they face.

“The implementation of this project was envisioned in my election program, and it should bring the institution President of the Republic of Macedonia closer to the citizens. It should be a place where they can be informed about the competences of the President, to submit whatever they think the President should know, to submit petitions and appeals” said President Gjorge Ivanov at the opening of the Office.

The President clarified that volunteers will work in the Office, they will be in direct contact with the citizens, will provide guidelines on issues that fall in the scope of other institutions’ authority, thus making it easier for the citizens to submit their initiatives, recommendations and petitions
.
President Ivanov added that the location of the Office, situated in the center of the city near the public square, has been chosen so that it could be accessible for the citizens.

The petititons and appeals submitted to the Public Offices will be forwarded to the appropriate services of Presidential Cabinet. Along with the Skopje Office, opening of similar offices has been planned in all major cities in the country.
